My 8 month old daughter does not have a lovey?

My eight month old daughter does not have a favorite toy or a lovey? She does not need any toy to got to bed, a blankie etc. She has never like a pacifier either. Both my niece and my nephew had something they were attached to, my nephew could not go anywhere without his stuffed dog, and my neice had to have her doll. Is this strange?
